What Pebble is

Pebble manages the work that happens before accounting.

Not bookkeeping. Not payroll. Not another spreadsheet. Pebble owns the thirty seconds between a business purchase and a clean record — capture, extract, organise, review — so tax time is an export, not a weekend.

  • Capture paper receipts, photos, PDFs and shared invoices.
  • Extract merchant, total, GST and line items automatically.
  • Organise into muted, meaningful categories — no filing.
  • Hand off clean records to your accountant, Excel, Xero or Hnry.

The story of one receipt

01

Point at the receipt

Walk out of the shop, open Pebble, point. Paper or digital — Pebble reads both.

02

Pebble reads it

Merchant, total, GST, every line item — extracted in seconds. Nothing is invented: anything uncertain is flagged for review, never guessed.

03

Choose what to log

Mixed trolley? Tick only the business items — or just tell Pebble “everything except the chocolate bar”. One receipt can carry multiple categories.

04

Review your Pebble

Pebble shows what it found — you check, not type. Every field stays editable.

05

Save your Pebble

Drag the pebble across. Filed, categorised, searchable — and GST already accounted for.

Ask Pebble

Find anything. Just ask.

Natural-language search across every expense, item and GST cent. This demo is live — try it with the sample data.

Follow-ups keep context — ask about August, then just say “what was the largest expense?”

Analytics & GST

Know where the money went.

Monthly totals, category breakdowns and a running GST tally — enough to understand your spending, without pretending to be accounting software.

  • Spending trend across the last six months
  • Category distribution in the app’s muted palette
  • GST tracked per month, ready for your return
  • Largest expenses, one tap from the receipt

Every receipt, every format

Four ways in. Zero filing.

Camera

Point at any paper receipt. Crumpled, faded, thermal — Pebble reads them.

Photos

That screenshot of an invoice from three weeks ago? Import it straight from your library.

Files

PDF invoices and saved documents, imported from anywhere on your device.

Questions

Fair questions, straight answers.

Is Pebble accounting software?

No — and deliberately so. Pebble handles everything that happens before accounting: capturing, extracting, organising and reviewing expenses. It then hands clean records to whatever comes next — your accountant, your spreadsheet, or Xero and Hnry.

Is there a free plan?

Always. You’ll be able to scan receipts, track GST, search your expenses and export a basic report for free. Paid plans add things like Xero & Hnry sync, Excel export and higher limits — and founding members get months of Pro free to try it all.

How much will it cost?

We’re finalising pricing with our early users, so we won’t over-promise a number yet. What we can say: there’ll always be a free plan, paid plans are priced for a one-person business, and waitlist members get our founding rate and the first say on pricing.

How does GST work?

Pebble reads GST straight off the receipt where it’s printed, and tracks a running monthly total. If GST can’t be found, the expense is flagged for review rather than guessed. Rates are built in for New Zealand (15%) and Australia (10%).

What about receipts with personal items on them?

That’s a signature feature. Pebble extracts every line item, you tick what’s business — or type “everything except the chocolate bar” — and only the business portion is logged. One receipt, multiple categories, personal items left out.

Does the AI ever make things up?

No. Pebble never invents amounts, merchants or GST. If a field can’t be read confidently it’s left blank and sent to Needs Review, where fixing it takes a tap. You always review before anything is saved.

Where does my data live?

Your receipts and records are stored securely, encrypted in transit, and separated per user with row-level access rules. Pebble collects the minimum it needs, never sells your data, and you can export or delete everything at any time.

When can I get it?

Pebble is in active development, launching on iOS in New Zealand and Australia. Join the waitlist and you’ll be among the first invited — founding members get in before everyone else.

Which platforms and countries?

iOS first, with Android built on the same codebase. Pebble launches in New Zealand and Australia — NZD and AUD, GST terminology, and Xero and Hnry as the first integrations.
